ANGEL is looking for a network building / marketing volunteer
The recently launched Academic Network on Global Education & Learning (ANGEL), the world forum for academics and researchers in global education, is seeking a volunteer on a temporary basis to help with promoting and building the network's reach and membership.
The network is the result of a partnership between the UCL Institute of Education's Development Education Research Centre (DERC) and Global Education Network Europe (GENE), and aims to establish and reinforce existing relationships among scholars and academic institutions working in global education and related areas, as well as to form a pool of experts which can become a resource for policymakers in search of strong research grounding for policy development. It also looks to establish a network among early stage researchers, Doctoral students and Post-Doctoral researchers.
We're looking for a volunteer with knowledge of global education to help us on a part time and temporary basis with developing the membership base of the network, as well as our social media presence. It could be a useful opportunity for someone wanting to gain experience in networking building or looking to develop an overview of the players in the global education world. You'll need great communication skills, some social media experience, and some experience of, or transferable skills for coordinating a marketing or promotional campaign.
Ideally the candidate would work 1-2 days a week, and would work at least part of the time from our offices in Gordon Square, London - though we may be able to consider other arrangements. We are hoping for a 4-6 month commitment, depending on the number of days committed to. We are able to offer reimbursement for reasonable travel and for lunch expenses.
To apply, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your CV, along with a short, concise email stating why you are interested and briefly outlining your relevant skills and experience. The deadline for applications is 23:59 on the 05 February 2018.
