IDEA to launch a Code of Good Practice for Development Education.

The Irish Development Education Association (IDEA), the national network for Development Education in Ireland, is set to launch a Code of Good Practice in Development Education in Dublin on Tuesday 3 December. The launch will be followed by a training session for IDEA members who wish to learn more about implementing the Code in 2020.

Contributors will include: 

  • Emma Lynch, Tearfund Ireland – IDEA member and part of the Code's pilot group
  • Orla McBreen, Head of Development Education and Civil Society unit, Irish Aid
  • Lydia Ruprecht – team leader Global Citizen Education, UNESCO
  • Dr. Momodou Sallah - Director, Centre for Academic Innovation and Reader in Globalisation and Global Youth Work, De Montfort University, Leicester
