Submit papers for United Nations Economic Commission for Europe report on youth engagement in ESD.
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) ESD Youth Platform, and UNECE Steering Committee on ESD, have issued an invitation for the submission of papers and/or case studies on youth and ESD:
"This publication aims to compile examples of theory and practice of youth engagement in the UNECE region, as well as in other regions whilst showcasing successful approaches related to education for sustainable development and youth".
The publication aims to function as a tool that will facilitate youth to share ideas, thoughts, and practices on various aspects of ESD. The coordinators are particularly interested in receiving contributions from stakeholders active within UNECE region, focusing mainly on the following topics:
- The role of youth in ESD
- Empowering youth to implement ESD
- Engaging youth in ESD policy making
- Challenges faced by youth for engaging in ESD actions and initiatives and how to overcome them
- Looking towards the future of ESD under the lens of youth

Expected notification of selection: Early, 2022, from February on

Background
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe was set up in 1947 by ECOSOC. It is one of five regional commissions of the United Nations.
UNECE's major aim is to promote pan-European economic integration. UNECE includes 56 member States in Europe, North America and Asia. However, all interested United Nations member States may participate in the work of UNECE. Over 70 international professional organizations and other non-governmental organizations take part in UNECE activities.
