Activism in Global Education: From Theory to Practice in Higher
Discussing the intersections of education, social justice, and activism. How can educators and researchers foster activist engagement in their work?
The new 15 chapter book 'Teaching and Learning Practices that Promote Sustainable Development and Active Citizenship', published by IGI GLOBAL, has been coordinated and edited by a team based in Portugal, including two ANGEL members, Sandra Saúde and Albertina Raposo, alongside Nuno Pereira and Ana Isabel Rodrigues.
With a foreword by Prof. António Sampaio da Nóvoa, Ambassador to UNESCO, this work brings together several international authors specialized in the field of Global Education.
The importance of an education that enables critical and active citizenship is reflected and concrete examples of how to implement it are presented, in contexts of formal and non-formal education.
With a printed version and online launch event planned for January 2021, ANGEL members are invited to preview the online version of the publication now.
