You can now read an interim report that examines and summarises the Academic Network for Global Education & Learning Conference 2025, the fifth biennial conference of the EU-funded* ANGEL project. A photo album giving a snapshot of the event is also available.
Please note that a final, updated report will be published next month, and will include further details e.g. a summary of the ECR day on 4th June.
This conference was organised in partnership with: University of Bamberg, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Engagement Global, the Humboldt Forum, Global Education Network Europe (GENE), and IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education & Society, and aimed to expand on the extremely successful 2023 event in Paris. It is financially supported by BMZ and the European Union*.

Hosted at the Humboldt Forum in Berlin between 4-6 June, the 2025 Conference took the title "Research in Global Education and Learning: For Democracy, Peace, Human Rights, Sustainability, and Global Social Justice", and aimed at furthering the vision of the European Declaration on Global Education to 2050 (‘Dublin Declaration’), and encouraging educational research aligned with the new UNESCO Recommendation on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Sustainable Development.
