The new 14-chapter volume, published by BRILL, embraces educators’ voices from the Global South. It presents a critical discussion that brings contemporary academic debate about ‘southern theory’ to GCE. The reader can expect to find a great diversity of chapters written by educators exploring, analysing, and celebrating ideas and concepts on GCE in the Global South. The book is presented as a pedagogical tool for discussion that invites educators to reflect critically on the possible origins and implications of GCE discourses they are exposed to.

This event, and the book itself, will be of interest to educators who are seeking to develop their theoretical understanding of bringing GCE into teaching practice, researchers and students who are new to GCE and who seek dynamic starting points for their research, and general audiences who are interested in learning more about the history, philosophy, and practice of GCE, particularly in the Global South.
