Global Education and Learning in the Asia Pacific Region.
Bringing together academics, policymakers, and practitioners with an interest in Global Education and Learning who are working in or on the Asia Pacific region.
Another interesting event is coming up as part of the Development Education Research Centre's seminar series, now held online of course.
The event will see the Centre's co-director Professor Douglas Bourn discussing themes from his forthcoming book which outlines a distinctive pedagogical approach for education for social change - an approach to learning that brings in themes of social justice, transformation and impact of globalisation. Examples in the talk will be given from formal and higher education and youth work.
Substantial time after the talk will be given over to a Q&A with participants.
This event is to be hosted via Zoom and will feature interactive activites and Q&A.
The intended audience for the seminar is primarily academics, educators, students, researchers and NGO staff, but it may also be appealing to anyone interested in education, pedagogy and social change more broadly.
This event is part of a series of seminars run by ANGEL partners the Development Education Research Centre (DERC), a UCL Institute of Education research centre that acts as the hub for knowledge generation, new thinking and quality output on development education, global learning and global citizenship.
