Global Education and Learning in the Asia Pacific Region.
Bringing together academics, policymakers, and practitioners with an interest in Global Education and Learning who are working in or on the Asia Pacific region.
ANGEL member Dr Emiliano Bosio, along with distinguished Prof Yusef Waghid, will co-edit a book entitled: "Global Citizenship Education in the Global South: Educators' Perceptions and Practices". The book aims to include chapters focusing on critical research, theorizing and education policy debates from educators that are defined as part of the Global South (e.g., South Africa, Pakistan, Niger, Yemen, Iraq, Ghana, India, Dubai, China, Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico and others). It plans to bring contemporary academic debate about ‘southern theory’ to Global Citizenship Education. The volume will be published in Brill | Sense “Moral Development and Citizenship Education”.
The editors are hoping to receive proposals and interact with colleagues and educators located in the Global South.
Potential authors are invited to submit on or before February 30, 2021 a chapter proposal of 700 to 1,000 words clearly explaining the mission and significance of the proposed chapter.
