ANGEL partner publishes research on Fairtrade in schools.

The Development Education Research Centre (DERC), partner organisation in the ANGEL project, have recently published a report examining the data collected as part of the 'Fairtrade School Awards programme', a UK-wide initiative run in schools by the Fairtrade Foundation - the well known UK charity that aims to "work to empower disadvantaged producers in developing countries by tackling injustice in conventional trade, in particular by promoting and licensing the Fairtrade Mark".

The paper draws on data collected in a series of audits of both teachers and pupils, and aims to draw from this useful information about the impact of the inititative, as well as locating "the evidence from the award programme within the broader landscape of global learning in the UK."
