A comprehensive record of June's early career researcher focused event is now available via this webpage, featuring summaries of the sessions, documentation of all featured research, as well as feedback and commentary.
For those of you who were there, as well as for those who missed out, this document aims to serve as the definitive picture of the successful 2020 iteration of a growing event series. The event was held online on 11-12 June 2020 and hosted by University of Oulu, Finland. The conference received a total of 216 registrations from a total of 40 countries and hosted over 40 presenters and panellists. The feedback from participants was resounding positive, and some ideas were generated about future events in the series.
The second biannual ANGEL early careers researcher conference focused on research on global education and learning. The aim was to provide early career researchers with an inspiring platform for discussing, re-visiting and analysing the complexity of conceptualisations. These ANGEL events build on an existing collaboration between DERC (UCL Institute of Education, UK), Otto-Friedrich Universität Bamberg (Germany), and the University of Oulu (Finland), who have organised an annual workshop for PhD students of the three institutions who are conducting research in the areas of development education, global learning and global citizenship.
