Online African Education Research Database.

ANGEL members working in education in Africa will be interested in the African Education Research Database (AERD), a curated collection of research with implications for education policy and practice, containing >2000 studies by researchers based in sub-Saharan Africa. It includes peer-reviewed articles, chapters, PhD theses and working papers identified through structured searches of academic and grey literature databases, expert consultation, and pearl-growing techniques.

The AERD, developed by the REAL Centre at the University of Cambridge in partnership with Education Sub Saharan Africa (ESSA), aims to raise the visibility and impact of research and researchers from sub-Saharan Africa, and promote greater contextual understanding for everyone involved in education in Africa.

It is hoped that this will be of value to researchers, policy actors and others working in this area, so please do share with others in your network.
